summer: time to simplify

Summer is finally here! With summer comes festivals, afternoon drinks and lawn games, the beach, and all sorts of other fun outdoor activities. I tend to wear dresses a lot during the summer because they are so comfortable. Oftentimes I also keep it reaaaallllyyy simple. It gets so. ridiculously. hot. here, so there really isn't much other choice. Sometimes simple can look plain or boring though, and that's no fun.

An eye-catching accessory or hairstyle (or both!) is a good way to make a simple dress look great for summer.

See, not too boring, right? And totally comfortable!  I teased my hair to add some interest and a vintage feel to an otherwise very simple outfit. Add some cat-eye sunglasses, bright wedges, or a cute hat to your simple dress and you'll be ready to go hang out at beer festivals and on rooftop patios all summer long :)

Anyway, I'm off to enjoy a shandy, speaking of summer!
